HARMFUL CHEMICALS FOUND IN SUNSCREEN

For decades American culture has been known for not asking enough questions about WHAT ingredients are put into our health and beauty products. Typically I find, most people are unaware of the negative effects it can have for your overall health. We use products for all sorts of reasons and have gotten a little too comfortable believing everything we read or see, through brilliant marketing campaigns. There are so many ingredients that most people don't know, can't pronounce and wouldn't have the slightest idea as to whether or not they are truly safe.

We'd love to think the products on the shelves are "safe" and available to us only because they've been tested to be as such, especially when we don't see the disclaimer *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.*

Unfortunately, just because a product has been approved by the FDA, it does not mean the product is safe. The United States is actually quite behind the times when it comes to the safety of products we consume or use on our skin, with ingredients that have been banned from many other countries.

Today I'm focusing on sunscreen and would like to share a small list of common ingredients found in most sunscreens that have been banned from other countries, and also have been found to create harmful repercussions.

Make a change. Rid your cabinet of products that aren't serving you and your overall health. Support companies that promote a better option for you and your family!
